It offers features that globe models cannot do such as multiple observers. It supports the 24hr Sun, 1st and 3rd person views, GPS, and much more. I want to give everyone the ability to test it out and explore the features, helping to understand why the North Polar AE is the most accurate depiction of our world. When you decide to wrap it around a ball you end up with numerous limitations that help us understand why the globe is not a realsitic depiction of the universe. Not just Earth, but the sky as well. Observations in the sky must match to the surface we live on and this is something that cannot be done with the globe.

As much I want to stroke my ego to believe that I am the best developer in the world, that is just not realistic and many people are more skilled me. The true reason that these features cannot be done in globe models, is because you cannot model something that doesn’t exist, and that is why there will never be a globe model supporting multiple observers.

The way you can know when a model is 100% correct, is when it’s fully quantified. Meaning it doesn’t only correctly model one thing, but correctly models everything. For example the 3rd person view Dr. Marsh globe model Jeran uses, only supports the Sun and nothing else. Whereas when we get into 1st person view models such as Stellarium they cannot let you zoom out into 3rd person because then you would see how everything is just a projection onto the equatorial grid with no physical ground position for the objects.

Understanding the Features

Toggle between 1st person and 3rd person views. Globe based models are limited to either one or the other, they cannot combine it both into a single model. We have nothing to hide so allow you to see both views in the same render. Globe models need to “make it work” and can’t show you the 3rd person without hiding other stuff.

Multiple observers plotted in real time. Globe based 3rd person models such as Dr. Marsh cannot do this and are limited to one observer at a time. We go beyond the limitations of globe models.

Planets and stars. 3rd Person Flat Earth models such as the Walter Bislin is limited to only the Sun and Moon. 3rd person Globe models such as Dr. Marsh is limited to only the Sun. We go beyond the limitations of globe models and legacy Flat Earth models.

Plotting GPS on the Gleason Map (North Polar AE). Mainstream mapping providers such as Google, Bing, Apple, etc are not allowed to show you this.

Location lookup auto complete. In the search location textbox you can type something such as “Union Glacier” and it will let you click on the options placing your observer at the correct latitude and longitude location. This makes it easy to go places such as Africa, Dubai, North Pole, and learn about how perspective works in different parts of our world.
