It has come to our attention that various anti flat earth trolls have been accusing us of stealing the 2017 Walter Bislin model. The Walter Bislin model was the first 3D model ever created, however it was limited to only the Sun, Moon, and Polaris; lacking significantly to what we created in 2024.
Yes they look similar. They are both Flat Earth models. Just like globe models, Stellarium and SkySafari look similar and are based on the same concepts. It doesn’t mean Stellarium plagiarized or used SkySafari’s code.
To begin with, the differences are very clear.
You can access the 2017 Walter Bislin model here https://walterbislin.journalofgeocentriccosmology.org/
You can access the 2024 Firmament Trackers model here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.journalofgeocentriccosmology.flatearthappfree
The code bases also show the difference of about 20,000 lines of code.
You can watch the entire development process and interview with the Lead Developer of the Firmament Trackers
The 2017 Walter Bislin model does not like how other institutions use his work to teach lessons.
You can click the link to see what Walter is talking about.
Walter’s original site is dangerous. No SSL. No funding. None of us have ever met him.
So way back before I even started developing the Firmament Trackers model I archived his model with the Journal of Geocentric Cosmology so that everyone can have access to it. https://walterbislin.journalofgeocentriccosmology.org/
None of this was kept secret and we even added a disclaimer so that the original author can have credit. Despite this being released into the Public Domain with a new copyright applied.
As you can see this is way back in June and has nothing to do with the Firmament Trackers Model.
